hello 4th grade, We hope this newsletter finds you well! As we approach the end of the school year, we want to remind everyone of some important dates and deadlines. Firstly, the Gradebook close out is on May 17th. This means that students have until 4pm on May 17th to work in the OLS and complete any outstanding assignments. Final grades will be processed on May 17th, so it is essential that students make the most of the time they have left to ensure that their grades reflect their hard work and dedication throughout the year. We also want to remind students that the notable person project is due on Friday, May 12th. This project has been a fantastic opportunity for students to research and learn about inspirational figures, and we are excited to see their final presentations. Students should email their completed presentation to their homeroom teacher and record themselves on Flipgrid. You can find the resources to help you create your presentation, and the link for Flipgrid on the tab above labeled "Notable Person Project," or linked below. Additionally, we will be presenting the Notable Person project and their Flipgrids during the last week of school. This will be a great opportunity for students to share what they have learned with their classmates and teachers. We want to take this opportunity to congratulate students on doing such a fantastic job with their FAST assessments! The effort and hard work that students have put into these assessments have been exceptional, and we are proud of their achievements. In conclusion, we want to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication throughout this school year. It has been a challenging year, but with everyone's support and perseverance, we have accomplished so much. As the end of the year approaches, let's continue to work hard and finish strong! 4th grade teachers Notable person project Click on the link below for the student templates to use for PowerPoint or Canva, in addition to the Flipgrid link! Dear Learning Coaches and Students, As we approach the end of the school year, you may notice that there are less assignments appearing on your plans. Please utilize this time wisely to work on retakes in the OLS, to bring up your grades. Additionally, as we prepare for testing next month, please be aware that teachers will be out of the office more often. To see when your teacher will be out of office for testing, please check their classroom teacher's page on the 4th grade website. Also, please note that live classes with teachers will be canceled next Tuesday, April 25th due to testing. However, students should continue to work on the lessons listed on their plans, even if teachers are out of office for testing. We want to remind you to prioritize completing any overdue or missing assignments. Furthermore, students that are below 70% in ELA or Math, are at risk for retention. Please work on retakes to bring your grades up and avoid any retention risks. We want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work that you have put in this school year. It has been a challenging year, but we are proud of you and your progress. Keep pushing forward, and we know that you will continue to achieve great things. As we near the end of the school year, remember that your effort and dedication will pay off.
