We hope this message finds you well and ready for another exciting week of learning! We have some important updates and reminders to ensure a smooth and productive experience on i-Ready and IXL.
1. Single Sign-On Process Using ClassLink: Remember to use ClassLink on your student accounts to log into i-Ready and IXL. This is a fantastic single sign-on process, making it easier than ever to access your lessons. Simply click on the icon in ClassLink, and you'll be signed in directly, without the need to input your username and password every time. To guide you through the process, we have provided an infographic below. Take a look and follow the steps to sign in effortlessly. 2. Weekly Learning Goals for i-Ready and IXL: It's essential to dedicate at least 45 minutes a week to your learning journey to work on "My Path" lessons on iReady, and complete the 2 weekly IXL required assignments, for Math. The IXL assignments are graded and, both i-Ready and IXL contribute to your overall progress. 3. Snapshot Diagnostic on IXL: We currently have a Snapshot Diagnostic ongoing on IXL, which is due by Feb. 2nd. Please refer to the graphic below for important dates and make sure to complete the diagnostic on time. Your participation is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of your skills and progress. 4. Emphasize the Importance of Class: Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of attending class regularly. Your active participation and engagement in class discussions contribute significantly to your overall learning experience. We're looking forward to seeing each and every one of you in class! We trust this message finds you well and ready for another week of exciting learning adventures! We have some important updates and reminders to share with you.
1. i-Ready Teacher Assigned Lessons: This week, students will be focusing on 2 required teacher-assigned lessons on i-Ready. These lessons are essential and will replace OLS assignments for the week. Please ensure that students log in and complete these lessons promptly. More information can be found on student plans, providing more details about these teacher-assigned lessons. Additionally, we have a new way of signing into i-Ready using Classlink. Please refer to the image below, for logging into i-Ready! 2. Weekly i-Ready "My Path" Usage: In addition to the teacher-assigned lessons, students should continue their regular routine of 45 minutes per week on i-Ready's "My Path." Consistent engagement with this platform is crucial for ongoing progress. 3. FAST Make-Ups and DRA Testing: FAST Reading and Math make-ups are ongoing this week for students who couldn't complete the PM2 portions. Check your plan daily to see if you're scheduled after classes. DRA testing will also continue throughout January, so be sure to check your plans for any scheduled assessments. 4. Weekly IXLs Reminder: A friendly reminder to all students to complete their weekly IXLs before the end of the day on Fridays. Grades are pulled from smart scores, so let's make sure everyone is staying on track with these important IXL lessons. 5. Live Classes Resuming: We're excited to let you know that live classes will resume on Tuesday, January 16th. We can't wait to see all of our wonderful students again and continue our learning journey together! Here's to wishing you and your family a delightful winter break! i-Ready Weekly Expectations: Now that students have completed the diagnostic, students will be using the i-Ready platform for instructional purposes. i-Ready is an online program that will personalize their learning and monitor their progress throughout the school year. i-Ready allows us to meet your child where they are and provides us with data to inform instruction. Students will be expected to complete 45 minutes of ELA instruction each week on i-Ready. Information on how to log in to i-Ready and track their weekly minutes can be found in the graphics below. Toy Comes to Life Narrative Essay due December 21st- This week we continued with Narrative writing, it's such a fun and creative form of writing! We will be finishing up our toy stories this week. Resources for this writing prompt can be found in the "Weekly Printouts" tab of our website. Students will be expected to type up their essay and turn it in through the OLS File Share to their homeroom teacher. Directions of how to turn in their essays can be found in the graphic below. We can't wait to read about your toy's adventures! FAST PM2 Testing: During the week of 1/9 when we return from break, we will have our FAST PM2 testing.
