Here's to wishing you and your family a delightful winter break! i-Ready Weekly Expectations: Now that students have completed the diagnostic, students will be using the i-Ready platform for instructional purposes. i-Ready is an online program that will personalize their learning and monitor their progress throughout the school year. i-Ready allows us to meet your child where they are and provides us with data to inform instruction. Students will be expected to complete 45 minutes of ELA instruction each week on i-Ready. Information on how to log in to i-Ready and track their weekly minutes can be found in the graphics below. Toy Comes to Life Narrative Essay due December 21st- This week we continued with Narrative writing, it's such a fun and creative form of writing! We will be finishing up our toy stories this week. Resources for this writing prompt can be found in the "Weekly Printouts" tab of our website. Students will be expected to type up their essay and turn it in through the OLS File Share to their homeroom teacher. Directions of how to turn in their essays can be found in the graphic below. We can't wait to read about your toy's adventures! FAST PM2 Testing: During the week of 1/9 when we return from break, we will have our FAST PM2 testing. This new platform will help to guide and inform us on your student's growth and progress this year. Students with 70% or below in ELA or Math, this is your opportunity to catch up. Your homeroom teacher will be sending you information on the assignments and lessons that you should focus on to bring your grades up before winter break starts. (Winter break begins on 12/22) ***Remember you can find your student's overdue and "Not Mastered" lessons in the "Courses" Tab of your OLS. Middle of the Year DRA's: Middle of the year DRA's will be scheduled from December 18th-December 21st. Some live Class Connects will be cancelled this week, student paced Nearpod lessons with voice overs will be added to student plans in lieu of live Class Connects.
