Greetings Fourth Grade Families, Spirit week was a blast! We loved seeing all the fun and creative attire for our dress-up days. As we gear up for fourth grade testing season beginning in April here is some important information: Weekly FAST Test Prep Videos: We are happy to share a new initiative as we prepare for our FAST testing season that is quickly approaching. Each week we will be sharing videos on our newsletter that will be sharing insight to the types of questions students will be encountering in the FAST test along with tips to prepare for the test. We ask that learning coaches take advantage of this resource and please watch these videos each week in order to be well-informed about the FAST test. You will find these videos starting this week underneath the section labeled "Weekly LC FAST Prep Videos". (see below) Reregistration for 2024-2025 school year: Your story continues with DAOF! First of all we would like to thank our learning coaches and students for your continued support as your fourth-grade teachers were assisting with administering in-person testing this week. Weekly I-ready minutes: As we prepare for in-person testing it is important to utilize all of the resources available to ensure student's success on state testing. I-ready is a great resource to support student's learning growth and prepare students for FAST Reading PM 3. Please make it a habit to check your student's minutes on their I-ready account on the "My progress" tab. Here are some more helpful tips: make it a part of your students weekly checklist or discuss with your student not marking the assignment complete on OLS until they have completed at least 45 minutes so it does not disappear from their plan. Emails have been sent out with directions on how to confirm your student's test site for in-person testing. Make sure you login to Testing Nirvana to confirm the test site. Once you have confirmed their test site keep an eye out for any emails from the sender TESTING NIRVANA, these emails will be coming soon and will have directions to confirm the date and time your student will need to come in for testing. hello 4th Grade Students and Learning Coaches, Thank you for another great week of learning! Please see the weekly checklist above to make sure you are staying on track with your learning responsibilities. Many teachers will be out of office testing next week and will send self-paced nearpods for you to complete with your learning coach. Make sure you check your email daily, so you don't miss anything. Thank you for your continued support during testing season. Have you completed your 45 minutes in iReady this week? Teachers are working closely with admin to ensure all students are fulfilling their 45 minute weekly requirement as well as any teacher assigned lessons tailored for personalized learning. As always, please check your grades weekly and retake any unmastered quizzes. If you need extra chances to take a test, let your teacher know. If you have overdue assignments, these need to be completed as quickly as possible. Please contact your homeroom teacher to create an action plan to get those completed as quickly as possible.
